Crispy Fish Recipe

Here is Crispy fish recipe for you to try:

2 T. light ranch dressing
2/3 egg whites
5 T. cornmeal
1 ounce of fresh grated parmesan cheese
1.5 T. flour
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Touch of sea salt
4 fish fillets, approx. 6 oz. each; I use whiting, sea trout, black drum, pompano caught in the Atlantic Ocean
(If you are buying at store, I would use tilapia, orange roughy, or any mild, thinner fish.) But you could certainly try this with any fish of your liking.
1.Get 2 large, flat bowls out to dredge the fish in. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Combine egg whites, dressing and whisk.
3. Mix cornmeal, cheese, flour, pepper and salt in next bowl.
4. Dip fish in # 2 and then in #3 and then onto sprayed non stick pan for the oven.
5. Bake 12 -15 minutes, depending on how hot your oven runs.
You can serve with a tartar sauce, or tasty Cole slaw, store bought or home made. Along with baked sweet potatoes this is a very satisfying meal.
And when you eat a large, healthy meal, you will not be "looking" for something else afterwards to satisfy you or your sweet tooth. Funny how it works: the body gets nourishing food and then does not look for sugary sweet stuff to satisfy because you are missing something.
