1 lb ground turkey, 93% lean, antibiotic-free**
1 cup frozen corn
1 small green pepper, chopped, organic**
16 oz tomato sauce, no salt added
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black pepper
2 tsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 Tbsp hot pepper sauce
salt to taste
Whole wheat hamburger buns, toasted
In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey over high heat until no longer pink. Add the rest of the ingredients (except the buns). Stir until well mixed. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until the mixture thickens - about 15 minutes.
Serve on toasted buns. Makes 7-8 sandwiches.
